Bill Kaulitz: Sì, anche l’ultimo album registrato è stato prodotto in inglese. Questa volta abbiamo voluto comporre fin dall'inizio in due lingue. Ed è stato un lavoro molto più duro di quanto pensassimo. Ma siamo totalmente soddisfatti.
C'erano molti fan che vi facevano una colpa del fatto che cantavate in inglese. Avete paura di questa denuncia, ancora una volta?
Bill:Non si può generalizzare. In Svizzera ad esempio, alcune persone lo preferiscono in tedesco. Ma molte sonorità sono anche migliori in lingua inglese. Ognuno è perfettamente libero di scegliere.
La vostra band è stata fortemente polarizzata sin dall'inizio: molto amata, molto odiata.
Bill: Di questo ne abbiamo goduto già ai primordi ,è qualcosa che definiamo energia. Per me è sempre stato così . Anche quando avevamo 9 o 10 anni, abbiamo risolto (con questa energia) tanti dissapori e ostilità.
Essere odiati da vigore.
Sì, ti rende forte. Perché le persone si ”aggrappano” al fatto che noi siamo quello che siamo. Gliene siamo grati. (Nel senso che in qualche modo -nel bene e nel male- mostrano chi sono davvero i TH).
Di recente ha suscitato scalpore una vostra confessione sulla droga. In passato avete ingoiato diverse pillole.
Bill: Alla fin fine, in quel periodo ci sentivamo grandi. E se ci si sente grandi in paesi piccoli, allora è un casino ! E molti giovani devono affrontare questo problema. La gente non ha nulla. Ne cinema, ne piste da go-kart. Ci annoiavamo, e d insieme ad altri ragazzi ce ne ne stavamo seduti come dei fantocci senza far nulla tutto il giorno. Ma abbiamo smesso quando abbiamo cominciato ad andare in sala prove, perché è cambiato tutto.
Vivete ancora questo problema?
